All our pupils got a great deal of enjoyment from the interesting, amusing and accessible scenario. The performers were excellent and their energetic delivery engaged all pupils from the start. Written for a teenage audience.

This is a New French play and is touring schools until
June 2008.

The play, plot and story.
Natalie is looking forward to baby-sitting for M. & Mme Dulin's one year old son Bruno while they go out to a fancy dress party!

She will earn some welcome spending money and it will be an evening away from mum and dad. Also, having just split up with her boyfriend Tristan, she is looking forward to a quiet night.

After M. Dulin has explained to Natalie where everything is, how everything works, what Bruno likes, what Bruno doesn't like he shows her the list of emergency numbers and how to work the kettle. Then they finally leave for their night out leaving Natalie and baby Bruno alone.

However, Natalie's quiet evening is soon interrupted by the unexpected arrival of Tristan, her ex-boyfriend.

He has come to plead and beg her to get back together, and reluctantly, she invites him to stay.

But Tristan, not known for his child-minding skills, soon brings chaos and havoc to the house. Soon the place is filled with nappies, toys, baby food, juice, sick, tears and tantrums as Natalie finds herself looking after two boys!

Can the night get any worse? Oh yes it can!

This is a brand new play.
This is the fifth play in French we have offered to schools. We follow up every performance with a comment sheet and we put a great deal of effort into making each new play better than the last. We are extremely excited about Les Garçons! , it is a very amusing, stimulating and entertaining piece of language theatre for teenagers.

Who is it aimed at?
Every school is different and abilities can differ, but this play has been pitched and translated for Year 9 and 10's and/or students who have been learning French for two years or more. In the past schools have brought in Year 8's who have enjoyed the plays and gained a lot from it. Your year 11's will also gain a great deal from this play and should not miss out on a valuable experience.

    Details
This play, as with all our language plays, is performed by two actors, one male and one female. The set-up takes 30 minutes. The play lasts 50 minutes.
Our main requirement is that all the students watching can see the performance, so where possible we prefer to perform on a stage or in a studio with raised seating. If you do not have a stage and there will be a large audience we ask that some of them sit on the floor.

How do I book this play for my school?
