![]() Quotes from South American Schools who saw Nothing to wear! by Onatti Theatre Company
"Among the audience, we had some Spanish teachers who know very little or no English whatsoever, and they laughed their heads off as well. That's the true spirit of drama: it knows no languages..."
'We think it's useful for the children to watch native actors because they can see "real language" and learn new vocabulary in a funny way.'
"We were all impressed by the excellent acting and the way the children were drawn into the plays."

"With the high school lot, I know many of them felt identified with the characters in Nothing to Wear."
Light, amusing and entertaining, very adequate for our teenage students..'

![]() English Theatre For Students Learning English Touring From January 2008
thousands of children across the world it's just Fantastic! Nothing to wear! is a very amusing play about two teenagers, Jason and Lucy, preparing for their first date together.
![]() What should I wear? What should I say? Were will we go?
![]() Lucy is annoyed by her lack of nice clothes and panics about her hair, her shoes, her spots! Jason chooses this moment to have his first shave and too is unsure about what to wear and should he take his skateboard or not! During their preparation both Lucy and Jason experience a roller-coaster of emotions; stress, apprehension, fear, excitement, hysteria! This play is completely in English and is performed by English speaking actors. The topic and vocabulary is pitched at the correct level for teenagers learning English. Watching this play will give any student studying English a great boost!
Nothing to wear was first written as a piece of theatre for teenagers who are learning English as a foreign language. This play initially toured to schools and colleges in South America for eight months. It was then translated into Spanish for English students in the UK who are learning Spanish. It has also touring British schools in a French version and a German version. This play has the right balance of entertainment and vocabulary re-enforcement. It is very visual to watch and is very relevant to all modern teenagers.
